The four moving parts every two-kid family fights

🤹

Multiple kids, multiple places

Mira's dance ends at 5:45 at the Y. Eli's soccer ends at 6:00 across town. FamCove detects the overlap on Sunday night so you can solve it Monday morning, not at 5:50 in a panic.

Parents take turns

Tuesdays are usually Mom's pickup. Until they're not. Auto-fairly rotation keeps the load balanced over weeks; one-tap Swap handles the days it shifts.

📅

Weekday + weekend activities

Soccer Tuesdays + Thursdays. Saturday morning swim. Sunday flag football. Define each as an Activity once and we generate the calendar events for weeks ahead with drop-off + pickup already assigned.

🚗

Drop-off ≠ pickup

Dad does morning drop-off because his commute passes the school. Mom does evening pickup because she works closer. Two slots per event, two owners, fully independent.

Frequently asked

What does pickup coordination mean?

It's the daily juggle of who picks up which kid from where. School ends at 3:15. Soccer ends at 5:30 in one place. Dance ends at 5:45 in a different place. One parent has a meeting until 5. Pickup coordination is the answer to 'who's grabbing whom, when, and from where' — without it living in your head or in a chain of texts.

How is FamCove different from GoKid or Carpool.School?

GoKid and Carpool.School solve INTER-family carpool — your family + the Smiths take turns driving. FamCove solves the much more common INTRA-family juggle: Mom drops off Mira, Dad picks up Eli, you take turns weekly, and sibling activities sometimes overlap. We auto-fairly-distribute drop-off and pickup across both parents so neither becomes the de-facto chauffeur.

Do I have to manually create every pickup?

No. You define an Activity once (Soccer practice, Tuesdays + Thursdays, 4–5:30pm at Lincoln Field, default pickup: Dad). Tap Auto-fill 4 weeks. FamCove generates the next 16 events with drop-off and pickup pre-assigned via a fairness rotation. You only touch it when something changes.

What's the fairness rotation?

FamCove keeps weekly cadence — Tuesday is Mom's pickup all week, Thursday is Dad's. Next week it flips. Over a month it balances out. If one parent is unavailable for a week (work travel, business trip), the rotation skips them automatically.

Can I swap pickups with my partner?

Yes. Click any auto-filled event in the calendar — the inline detail panel shows drop-off + pickup chips with a one-tap Swap button. Swap fires a notification to your partner so it's never silent.

What about sibling overlap?

If both kids need pickup at the same time at different places, FamCove flags it on the dashboard before it happens. You'll see 'Tomorrow at 5pm: Mira at dance, Eli at soccer — you'll need two drivers'. Earlier surfacing means earlier solution.

Does this work with one parent at home and one traveling?

Yes — set the unavailable parent's tint to 'inactive' for the trip and the rotation skips them, defaulting all pickups to the available parent. When they return, the rotation picks up where it left off.
